Admissions and Qualifications Criteria
General Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age at the time of graduation in order to meet Interstate requirements, and 18 years of age at start of the program for Intrastate requirements.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen test.
- Must have a High School Diploma (or) demonstrate the ability to benefit from training.
Note:Items bolded are Federal DOT Requirements!
Traffic Requirements
- No alcohol or drug related violations (DUI/DWI) in a motor vehicle in the last three years.
- No more than three moving violations in the last three years.
- No more than one at-fault accident in the past year.
Civil Requirements
- Felony criminal record is subject to review.
- Not currently on parole or restricted probation.
- Misdemeanor criminal record is subject to review.
